Physician: Hospital in Illinois is Looking for a Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician

An Illinois-based Hospital is currently seeking an emergency medicine physician to assist with temporary locum tenens coverage. The covering physician must be board certified or board eligible and have current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. There will be enough time to obtain an IL state license before this assignment begins. The assignment schedule will be 12-hour day and night shifts. The average annual volume is 11,500. The electronic medical record system is Meditech.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
